Canadienne québécoise et fière de l’être, j’étudie actuellement comme ingénieur minier au Québec. Lors de la création de ce blog, j’ai décidé d’afficher l’ensemble de mes messages en français et en anglais. Pour moi cela était essentiel, car un des buts premiers de ce blog est de démystifier certains mythes ou fausses réalités encore présents aujourd’hui au Québec et de part le monde face à l’industrie minière et à ses individus. D’où la nécessité d’intervenir en français et en anglais afin de réunir le plus de gens possible.
Mon objectif est simple; explorer et vulgariser ma passion pour l’industrie minière. On peut facilement se demander d’où me vient cette passion pour les mines et pour tout ce qui l’entoure, considérant qu’aucun membre de ma famille n’oeuvre dans cette industrie. Cependant, je tiens à souligner l’incroyable chance que j’ai d’avoir un entourage qui m’encourage et m’appuie à chaque jour dans mon cheminement.
Ce blog est un projet personnel que j’ai mûrement réfléchi. Il ne vise en aucun cas à vouloir diminuer des opinions contraires aux miennes ou à heurter les choix de certains individus. Il est plutôt le reflet de plusieurs réflexions personnelles et regards face l’industrie minière en constante évolution. J’adore apprendre et surtout ne pas me contenter de l’acquis. Je suis en constante apprentissage autant durant mes études qu’à travers mes voyages. Je ne crois pas tout connaître et je ne crois pas non plus arriver un jour à un certain point où je me dirai : je sais tout maintenant ! Si c’était le cas, je serais bien triste ! J’espère que ce blog évoluera en même temps que moi et qui sais peut-être même vous venir en aide face à certaine situation. Canadian Quebecer and proud to be, I am currently studying as a mining engineer in Quebec City. When creating this blog, I decided to post all my messages in French and in English. In my opinion this is essential due to the fact that one of the primary goals of this blog is to demystify some myths or false realities about the mining industry that are still present today not only in Quebec but all around the world as well. Hence the necessity to intervene in French and in English so as to reach as many people as possible.
My aim is simple: Explore and popularize my passion for the mining industry. It is easy to question where my passion for the mines and all that surrounds it comes from, especially considering the fact that no one in my family works in this industry. However, I want to emphasize the incredible blessing in my life that I have people surrounding me with encouragement and support every day in my journey.
This blog is a personal project that I have carefully thought out. It does not in any way aim to diminish opinions contrary to mine or insult the choices of some individuals. It is rather a reflection of several reflections and looks face to face at the mining industry that is in constant evolution. I love learning and definitely do not settle for only acquired information. I am constantly gaining as much knowledge during my studies as I am through my travels. I recognize the fact that I do not know everything and I do not expect to be able to one day say, “I know everything now!” (if this were the case, I would be quite sad!) I hope this blog will evolve at the same time as I do, and can also be a help to you in dealing with certain situations.
